BOOK BASH: “The Monocle Guide to Better Living” — Monocle magazine’s first book — was presented Thursday night at its publisher Gestalten’s boutique in Berlin.
The 408-page, hardcover tome includes articles, essays and lists centering on themes such as style, health and happiness. It is to launch internationally in October at a price of 45 euros, 40 pounds and $60.
“There won’t be a tablet edition of this book,” insisted Tyler Brûlé, Monocle’s editor in chief, who added there is “a sense of conservatism which really fuels our brand. We’re huge believers in paper.”
