David Carr, media columnist for The New York Times died Thursday.
According to The Times, Carr, 58, collapsed at the office and was rushed to St. Luke’s Roosevelt Hospital in Midtown where he passed away.
Carr, who wrote about media for 25 years, joined The Times in 2002 as a business reporter covering the magazine industry.
Prior to The Times, Carr was a contributing writer for The Atlantic and New York magazine. Before that he wrote about the media for Inside.com.
Carr began his career as an editor of Washington City Paper and as an editor of The Twin Cities Reader.
