OH BABY: The royal honeymoon is over. Eight months after the Westminster Abbey wedding, the British press has ceased swooning over the royal couple — and begun willing the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge to have their first baby. And it’s not just the tabloids and bloggers who are at it. The February issue of Tatler features a file shot of the Duchess on its cover with the headline “Kate: What to Expect When You’re Expecting,” and a humorous month-by-month guide on how to survive pregnancy in public — and in private — accompanied by photos of royal mothers-to-be. Regarding those frequent trips to the bathroom, Tatler offers up the following: “Her Majesty has had four children and trained her bladder into an Olympic-standard muscle, so don’t expect any sympathy from her.” Meanwhile, even the ultraserious Press Association has joined in, speculating — as part of a series of features on the Queen’s upcoming Diamond Jubilee — that there could well be a new royal arrival to mark the year of celebrations.
