The Repossi spring advertising campaign.

STILL REPOSSI: Repossi is giving its ad campaign a more conceptual spin this season, by twinning images of Julia Nobis with still lives featuring furniture pieces by Donald Judd.

As in previous seasons, the Place Vendôme jeweler – which recently sold a minority stake to luxury conglomerate LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton – has tapped David Sims to shoot the campaign. It consists of seven images in total, art directed by Peter Miles.

The ads are to break in upcoming editions of Pop, Gentlewoman, Love, i-D and Self Service magazines.

In an interview with WWD in late November, creative director Gaia Repossi hinted that a shakeup was underway in the company’s visual communications. She suggested the alliance with LVMH would boost her creativity, by allowing her to work with fine art photographers, for example.

“I like to open up in all sorts of directions, so obviously, there’s going to be some surprises,” she teased.
