JACK DORSEY FOR ALICE + OLIVIA: The brand’s social media savvy Stacey Bendet tapped Twitter founder Jack Dorsey as the first guest editor for its 4AM Finds feature, formerly a biweekly column filled with only her own obsessions. Naturally, Dorsey was the obvious choice to kick off this initiative for the brand since this column and my job probably wouldn’t exist if it weren’t for him (I probably wouldn’t even exist if it weren’t for him). As pictured here, the social media deity’s well-rounded assortment of must-haves include a Nike + iPod Pedometer, tortoise shell Persol sunglasses, a GMT Master II Rolex and a Diptyque candle (athletic and stylish? #callme). With the mantra, “too much BS occurs and everyone is scared to call it out…love what I do but hate what I see,” our newest guilty pleasure is the anonymous fashion publicist that goes by the handle @NoBtotheS. Filling the void once occupied by the now-defunct Socialite Rank, View From the Fourth Row and Jolie in NYC – no one has been this entertaining on Twitter since The Man Repeller (@ManRepeller). Not afraid to gripe about her clients, offer up opinions about rival public relations agencies and call out industry social climbers and characters such as “He Who Shall Not Be Named” (who even blocked her on Twitter, might we add #LOL) – we commend you for having the chutzpah to say what’s on your mind.


It was Twitter last week, and now Sienna and Savannah Miller’s collection, Twenty8Twelve, has a Facebook fan page. The brand’s tab includes the fall 2010 look book, film, albums of celebrities wearing the brand and links to purchase online.

Vince Camuto’s application, The Shoe Closet, allows users to build their dream shoe collection and share it with their Facebook friends – automatically entering them for a chance to win their “closet.” One winner is chosen per week, and yes, they will receive every pair of shoes in their closet. The app can be accessed at vcshoecloset.com, but you must be signed in to Facebook to participate. This is the brand’s second social media related contest – from March to August of this year, Vince Camuto partnered with Lucky magazine on a shoe design contest, which received more than 600 entries and 60,000 votes.


THE OUTNET GETS A FACELIFT: Net-a-Porter’s affordable little sister will unveil a new look on Nov. 18, including an updated logo and a feature that gives users the ability to create wish lists. The online fashion outlet, which carries more than 200 designers and boasts selling one pair of Christian Louboutins every three seconds, will also launch a mobile version Nov. 30. And to celebrate the updated site, theoutnet.com will offer more than 60 pieces by Alexander Wang at up to 65% off.

The designer stars in a “shoppable video” on michaelkors.com that has markers for each of the featured products that users can click on for immediate purchase, including a quilted patent satchel, studded leather cuffs and crystal pavé key chains.

Rachel Roy’s new tote bag, designed in partnership with UNICEF to help with relief for the floods in Pakistan, is now available for preorder on rachelroy.com. The designer even got some of her most fashionable friends to sign the tote in support of the cause, such as André Leon Talley, Oprah, Diane von Furstenberg, Tory Burch and Margherita Missoni.

Following the release of its digital wish list campaign, “Be Careful What You Wish For,” Kenneth Cole’s first ever iPhone app will launch Nov. 15.
