TAILORING ON FILM: Gucci today will unveil a film on its men’s tailoring on the Italian brand’s YouTube channel. The short movie, directed by Rémi Paringaux and written by Sascha Ring, Patrick Christensen and Anja Plaschg, features Clement Chabernaud traveling through London, New York and Tokyo and seen getting his Gucci leather lace-ups carefully polished by hand or an impeccable straight razor shave. Gucci’s men’s tailoring campaign will be the exclusive partner of CNN’s “Elite Escapes” program, launching Sept. 1, which will highlight the most exclusive travel destinations and cultural experiences around the world. The Gucci film will feature on CNN International in 30-second spots and 10-second vignettes. On cnn.com, the online campaign will include homepage ownership and a dedicated “Elite Escapes” section.
All of Gucci’s social media networks will dedicate two weeks to its men’s tailoring. Coming up next: The luxury label will present a video series on real-life men’s tastemakers from around the world.
