PRIZE FIGHT: Out to promote fashion’s brightest rising stars, ANDAM has announced the latest contenders for its annual prize. Going head to head for the award of 200,000 euros, or $284,997 at current exchange, will be Adam Kimmel, Anthony Vaccarello, Commuun’s Kaito Hori and Iku Furudate, Jeremy Laing, Matthew Harding and Yiqing Yin.
Members of this year’s jury include French Vogue editor in chief Emmanuelle Alt; Pamela Golbin, head curator of the Musée des Arts Décoratifs; Humberto Leon, co-owner of Opening Ceremony; and consultant Ralph Toledano. The awards ceremony will be held on June 29 at the Ministry of Culture in Paris. Having a Parisian project in view is a prerequisite to be eligible for the ANDAM prize, which is sponsored by the likes of LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton, the Pierre Bergé-Yves Saint Laurent Foundation and Longchamp, as well as France’s Ministry of Industry and Ministry of Culture. Past winners include Hakaan, Giles Deacon and Gareth Pugh.
