A DOSE OF DESIGN: Wallpaper magazine is making its way across the pond.
Time Inc. has announced it will launch a version of Wallpaper with U.S.-specific content. It will be published quarterly, with the first edition mailed to 250,000 young, affluent consumers on Nov. 1.
The current editorial team, headed by editor in chief Tony Chambers, will put together print and digital content for the American market. The 116-page inaugural issue will feature a shoot by artist William Wegman and his “artful edit of American design.”
Advertisers in the launch issue will include Hermès, Prada, Max Mara, Cadillac, Molteni, B&B Italia and Philipp Plein. The launch issue will not be sold on the newsstand, and will coincide with the 200th issue of the publication, and Chambers’ 100th issue as editor.
The magazine has a circulation of 100,108, and the U.S edition will not be included in the circulation figures of the main, international edition. Wallpaper.com reaches 500,000 readers each month and has a following of more than two million across its social media platforms.
Launched in 1996, Wallpaper was acquired by Time Inc. in 1997.
