French e-commerce and media group MenInvest said it acquired hip London-based online retailer Oki-ni.com.
Founded in 2001, Oki-ni.com attracts some 500,000 unique visitors a month and ships men’s fashions from brands including Alexander McQueen, Rick Owens and Raf Simons to more than 75 countries.
MenInvest said Oki-ni would become the “creative and luxury” window of its flagship Menlook.com online store.
Founded in 2010 by Marc Ménasé, MenInvest is gunning to reach revenues of 100 million euros, or $128.5 million at current exchange, by 2016.
As part of the deal, Ben Banks and Charles Perez, two of the founding partners of Oki-ni.com, are to become shareholders in MenInvest, and advisers.
Last year, MenInvest completed a second round of funding valued at 5.6 million euros, or $7.1 million at current exchange. Its shareholders include private equity firms Orkos Capital, 123Venture, Partech International and AXA Private Equity.
The digital group’s online properties include Timefy.com, specializing in watches, and SaintSens.com, dedicated to bespoke French shirts.
