LONDON — Nicole Farhi, which earlier this month was placed in administration, the U.K. equivalent of Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection, has been acquired by Maxine Hargreaves-Adams, a fashion and retail entrepreneur.

Hargreaves-Adams’ other fashion investments include the women’s wear brand Fenn Wright Manson, which she acquired in 2012, and the online retailer A Damsel in a Dress, which she invested in earlier this year.
In addition to its flagship on Conduit Street in London, Nicole Farhi — which has continued to trade — has five stand-alone stores, 10 concessions throughout the U.K. and Ireland, an e-commerce Web site and a wholesale business.
Before collapsing into administration, the label was owned by Kelso Place, which bought a majority stake in January 2012.
