PARIS — Première Vision SA has made a bid to take full control ofthe ModAmont trade show, which specializes in fashion accessories andcomponents.

Première Vision, which has held a 49 percent stake inModAmont SAS since 2007, said it plans to increase its share in theTarsus France SAS-owned salon to 100 percent by the end of this year.

Apurchase option to Tarsus France SAS has been granted, but theacquisition must pass through various legal stages before beinggreen-lighted, including winning the approval of the shareholders ofTarsus’ parent company, Dublin-based Tarsus Group plc, which is listedon the London Stock Exchange.

ModAmont shows as part of thePremière Vision Pluriel group of trade shows held biannually, inSeptember and February, in Paris Nord Villepinte.

PremièreVision, which organizes 22 trade shows each year in France, Belgium,Brazil, China, Russia and the U.S., specializes in salons geared tomaterial and services for the fashion and home industries. The companyalready owns the Première Vision, Indigo and Expofil salons, gearedrespectively to apparel fabrics, designs and yarns and fibers.
