Première Vision Makes Bid for ModAmont

Firm looks to advance minority stake in the fashion accessories and components trade show to full ownership.

PARIS — Première Vision SA has made a bid to take full control of the ModAmont trade show, which specializes in fashion accessories and components.

Première Vision, which has held a 49 percent stake in ModAmont SAS since 2007, said it plans to increase its share in the Tarsus France SAS-owned salon to 100 percent by the end of this year.

A purchase option to Tarsus France SAS has been granted, but the acquisition must pass through various legal stages before being green-lighted, including winning the approval of the shareholders of Tarsus’ parent company, Dublin-based Tarsus Group plc, which is listed on the London Stock Exchange.

ModAmont shows as part of the Première Vision Pluriel group of trade shows held biannually, in September and February, in Paris Nord Villepinte.

Première Vision, which organizes 22 trade shows each year in France, Belgium, Brazil, China, Russia and the U.S., specializes in salons geared to material and services for the fashion and home industries. The company already owns the Première Vision, Indigo and Expofil salons, geared respectively to apparel fabrics, designs and yarns and fibers.
