For the second time in about three years, Thomas Pink, the British brand known best for its pristine shirts, is opening a store in Las Vegas. The new location, which bows in the middle of next month, will be housed in The Shoppes at the Palazzo, a luxury retail shopping center on the Las Vegas Strip that is part of a $2 billion development.
Thomas Pink's president, Robert Dundon, expects the new store to generate the same amount of volume as the existing one at Caesars Forum without cannibalizing sales, even though they are only half a mile apart. The average sale at the Las Vegas store is $250 — 5 percent higher than that in the company's 18 other stores. Aside from attracting customers from Middle America, the Las Vegas store has been popular with shoppers from Mexico, Central and South America, Europe and Asia, Dundon said.
"I think that all anyone really wants in life is to have people understand us for who we actually are, despite everything," says Ruth Negga. The actress talks "Preachers" season 2 and more on WWD.com. #wwdeye (📷: Dan Doperalski)
"That's something that resonates with me too because I'm so locked into a number. If I go over that number it completely ruins my day so it's nice to get detached from the number on the scale." - Chelsea Handler on Kelly LeVeque's book "Body Love." #wwdeye (📷: John Salangsang)
