For the second time in about three years, Thomas Pink, the British brand known best for its pristine shirts, is opening a store in Las Vegas. The new location, which bows in the middle of next month, will be housed in The Shoppes at the Palazzo, a luxury retail shopping center on the Las Vegas Strip that is part of a $2 billion development.

Thomas Pink’s president, Robert Dundon, expects the new store to generate the same amount of volume as the existing one at Caesars Forum without cannibalizing sales, even though they are only half a mile apart. The average sale at the Las Vegas store is $250 — 5 percent higher than that in the company’s 18 other stores. Aside from attracting customers from Middle America, the Las Vegas store has been popular with shoppers from Mexico, Central and South America, Europe and Asia, Dundon said.
“We get a lot of people who find things and want them ironed [on the spot] so they can wear them to a show, an event or straight to the gambling tables,” he said.
The new 1,500-square-foot locale will be one of 60-plus luxury boutiques in the 450,000-square-foot epicenter. In addition to its signature shirts, Pink will sell knitwear, accessories, pajamas and Bill Amberg-designed leather goods. The women’s area will be placed near the entrance of the L-shaped store, and its decor will be considerably lighter than the dark oak fixtures, fake-croc wall panels and leather club chairs that will give the men’s area the feel of a traditional gentleman’s club.
