Bruno Magli has opened a new store at the Brickell City Centre in Miami. The site represents the first stand-alone store for the firm in the U.S. since being acquired by Marquee Brands in early 2015. The brand plans to open additional U.S. doors in major markets.Cory M. Baker, chief operating officer for Marquee Brands, said the company initiated a strategic global retail rollout following the brand’s 80th anniversary last year to meet the needs of its international customers who wanted an online presence and a brick-and-mortar component.“Despite the challenges of many in the retail environment today, we are fortunate to have a loyal customer eager for more touch points to our new men’s and women’s collections,” Baker said. He added that Miami remains an influential destination for luxury fashion to travelers and locals alike. The Brickell City Centre houses Valentino, Bally, Armani, Chopard, Hugo Boss and Coach, among others. Bruno Magli’s retail store at 1,000 square feet occupies the ground floor of the center. According to Marquee Brands, the design aesthetic for the store was created by the Kramer Design Group. Featuring sleek marble walls and the brand’s Bordeaux colorway, the concept includes vintage wooden shoe forms and lasts. In keeping with the brand’s roots, the furniture and design elements are sourced from Italian materials.
