Cartier's new vice president of retail, Anthony Ledru, is focusing on service and the rollout of the new Bruno Moinard-designed store concept.
Ledru, who is responsible for directing all retail operations for Cartier North America, including 35 U.S. boutiques and two Canadian units, said he is determined to make sure "that every single visit to our boutique is a true, unique experience. In tense economic times and potentially decreased traffic, it's important to spend more time with each of our clients."
Cartier has recently renovated boutiques in Palm Beach and Boca Raton, Fla., and opened its fifth California store, a 2,500-square-foot shop in Canoga Park. The firm is relocating its Toronto store to a larger space on Bloor Street. There also are two more projects in the works for 2009.
"We are only interested in the very best locations and they are rare," Ledru said.
Ledru, who started his new job in November, has been at Cartier in various positions since 1997 and was most recently associate vice president of retail, responsible for developing boutique action plans and retail network development for the jewelry, watch and accessories brand in North America.
He reports to Frédéric de Narp, president and chief executive officer of Cartier North America. Ledru appointed Cynthia Fiske as boutique director of the Michigan Avenue boutique in Chicago and Tim Götzinger as boutique manager at the firm's store at the Wynn in Las Vegas.
Etro’s show, titled “The Tree of Life,” was a celebration of the house’s 50th anniversary. “My father founded the company in 1968, which was the year of counterculture and psychedelia. It’s really a show that celebrates that and the paisley design of India and its origin,” said Veronica Etro. #wwdfashion #mfw #ss18 (📷: @delphineachard)
