LOS ANGELES -- Frank C. Calise has joined Carter Hawley Hale Stores as senior vice president of visual merchandising.

Calise, who reports to Gerald Mathews, executive vice president of stores, succeeds Roger Nullman, who resigned last month, Calise had been head of creative design and visual merchandising at British Home Stores in London since 1990. From 1980 to 1990, he served as vice president and director of visual merchandise and design at Bonwit Teller in New York.

With the move to CHH, Calise teams up once again with David L. Dworkin, CHH president and chief financial officer, who formerly headed BHS and Bonwit's.
