MILAN — Dsquared is heading east.

In partnership with Turkish luxury retailer Beyman, Dean and Dan Caten last week officially opened their newest store in Istanbul offering apparel, accessories and footwear. The 1,300-square-foot, two-story boutique is located on the high-end Suleyman Seba Caddesi shopping strip, in the Akaretler district, joining the ranks of Marni, which opened there in April, also in partnership with Beyman.

The Istanbul unit is the brand’s fourth flagship, after Milan, Capri and Kiev, Ukraine. A wink at the birthplace of the designers, rooms are detailed in Canadian wood, some even covered wall to wall with birch tree trunks. First-year revenues for the store are estimated at 1 million euros, or $1.43 million at current exchange.

Istanbul is just one stop on the brand’s expansion. Next on the list is Hong Kong, set to open at the end of September, with Singapore and Dubai are scheduled to follow. Dsquared2 also is planning on adding an outpost in Moscow and a store in Cannes, France.
