Dunning Sportswear will open its first retail store in Toronto next month. The 1,800-square-foot location is on Yonge Street in a newly restored 1928 building. It is slated to open in early November with a grand-opening celebration on Nov. 13-15. The shop will sport custom fixturing and furniture and will carry the company’s complete line of golfwear, performance sportswear, the Shield Crest country club collection and the new Tour Slim Fit collection. There will also be several limited-editon, made in Toronto garments, as well as wardrobe consultations and custom fittings. Dunning was founded by Toronto native Ralph Dunning, who created the Rip n’ Hammer line of technical cycling and triathlon apparel in the Nineties.
