On Wednesday night, Stuart Weitzman celebrated the reopening of his Madison Avenue store, which has a new, fresh look with open white space. “I’m inspired,” said Weitzman. “I designed the collection to be shown perfectly on the sexy shelving,” he added, referring to the helixlike displays. The current collection of the Annual Celebrity Shoe Auction decorated pumps is also on display, featuring designs by Blake Lively, Kiefer Sutherland, Brooke Shields and others, which will be sold to benefit ovarian cancer research.

Antler-adorned walls and up-ended dogsleds at The Explorers Club offered a fitting setting for the celebration of the collaboration between Tumi T-Tech and luxury travel company Abercrombie & Kent. Tumi’s colorful, sporty, performance-based collection moves from adventurer to urban traveler with ease. The hydro backpack will be given to those who take part in the travel company’s Extreme Adventures expeditions.

Earlier that day, San Francisco shoe maven Glory Chen used the opening of her New York flagship in SoHo to show her spring collection, which made its handbag debut. A white tote decorated with white and green loops was a highlight.

The Felissimo Design House store is having an 11-week exhibition of Japanese culture and was celebrating the fashion portion of that show. Nezca’s braided Swarovski crystal rope, finely tooled metal jewelry from Dagdart and Passo’s handmade shoes dyed with wine were among the standouts from Japanese accessories designers. Another of the most remarkable pieces was a multimedia globe created by Josee LePage and Tobias Wong, made up of items shown throughout the exhibition.

Further downtown, Head Games Dress Candy showcased the pairing of fashion illustrator Sara Singh and Pretty Young Thing jewelry designer Arlene Guerra. The resulting jewelry was meant to juxtapose children’s and adults’ dress-up games with playful candy colors and shapes adorned with spikes and other not-so-sweet elements.
