Brooks was president and Rodbell was executive vice president. Rodbell continues as chief merchant, while Brooks will serve as an adviser to Richard Baker, chairman and chief executive officer of HBC, which operates the Hudson’s Bay, Home Outfitters and Lord & Taylor chains. The transition, beginning today, will be completed by the company’s year-end in January 2014.
“This new structure will continue to drive our long-term growth strategy, as we build upon the company’s momentum toward revitalizing its banners and product offerings, and strengthening the customer experience,” said Baker.
Shares of the company fell 3.1 percent on the Toronto Stock Exchange to 16.23 Canadian dollars, or $15.96 at current exchange.
