VF’S VP SHUFFLE: Greensboro, N.C.-based VF Corp. on Tuesday changed the duties of two vice presidents. Tim Dye, 48, will now oversee distribution for North America. He previously served as vice president of supply chain for the Imagewear division. John Strasburger, also 48, now manages Americas sourcing. He was vice president of purchasing and sourcing at the Imagewear division. Both executives report to Boyd Rogers, vice president of supply chain and technology.
SOLUTIA EXITING ACRYLIC: Bankrupt chemical concern Solutia Inc. on Tuesday said it plans to close its acrylic-fibers business by mid-April. The firm will be laying off about 250 staffers and 200 contract employees at its Decatur, Ala., plant as a result of the move. In a statement, Jeffry Quinn, president and chief executive officer, said the business “has been rendered unprofitable due to low-cost foreign competition, declining global demand trends and sustained high raw-material prices.”
HAVE A HEART: Scoop boutiques are lending a hand to Love Heals, the Alison Gertz Foundation for AIDS Education. For the month of February, a portion of the proceeds from the retail and online sales of a Gold Hawk camisole will benefit the foundation. The red heart-printed camisole retails for $98. “Alison Gertz was my best friend and an AIDS pioneer,” said Stefani Greenfield, co-owner of Scoop. For the past nine years, Scoop has had a charity sale to raise money for the foundation. This year, she announced plans to raise funds in the “six-figure- plus range.”
OPERATION START-UP: Start-up design firm and retailer Operations will open its first retail store in March. After the New York boutique is launched, Operations plans to explore additional locations in San Francisco, Chicago and Los Angeles. It is represented exclusively by Robert K. Futterman & Associates LLC.

“I’m Russian and I love to use all these little tricks that I got from my grandma or my mom. We didn’t have a lot of money for creams or anything like that so we would use a garden as a beauty treatment regime. We’d put cucumber in the fridge and do a cucumber mask,” says model @irinashayk on one of her beauty hacks. WWD asked celebs what their go-to self-care rituals are.
