ATLANTA — Willis C. (Billy) Moore has joined International Textile Group, Inc. (ITG) as executive vice-president and CFO, effective May 21. He succeeds Gary L. Smith, who announced his plans last month to leave ITG to pursue other career opportunities.
Moore previously was vice-president and CFO for Polymer Group, Inc., a $1.1 billion multinational public company based in Charlotte, N.C., and before was executive vice-president for Unifi, Inc., based in Greensboro, N.C. He worked 19 years with Ernst & Young and its predecessor companies, and he is a former chairman of the American Textile Manufacturers Institute and former president of the Greensboro Triad Textile and Apparel Association.
“Billy brings a tremendous amount of knowledge and proven experience,” said Joseph Gorga, president and CEO, ITG, “and we are thrilled to have him join our team.”
