Juicy Couture is getting ready to celebrate its 4,300-square-foot flagship in Beijing.
LeAnn Nealz, president and chief creative officer of Juicy Couture, has flown to China for the grand opening of the brand’s flagship in Sanlitun, Beijing, on Thursday. She will be joined by Chinese actress Jingchu Zhang, who will appear as a special guest for the opening night celebration and ribbon-cutting. The opening will also include a fall and holiday fashion show at the store, featuring Juicy Couture’s spirited collection.
The Beijing boutique, designed to resemble a château, brings Juicy Couture’s whimsical concept to life. An exclusively designed staircase, illuminated by a large hanging crystal chandelier, is a focal point. The marble stairs are lined with a railing designed with the signature Juicy Couture charm-and-chain necklace in mind. The color scheme features pink, yellow gold and cerulean blue, with herringbone floors throughout. The dressing rooms on the second floor showcase French-inspired textile wallpaper, while the first-floor dressing rooms are covered in Juicy Couture poppy wallpaper. Lounge furniture is displayed throughout the store to create a homey, intimate feeling.
The Beijing unit will offer the full breadth of the women’s, girls’ and babies’ collections, as well as shoes, intimates, swimwear, fragrance, accessories, jewelry, sunglasses and small leather goods. The store is a partnership with Imaginex Group, a brand management and distribution company in Asia for international brands with specific territory focus in Greater China.
There are currently more than 100 Juicy Couture full-price and outlet stores in North America. On a global basis, Juicy is sold in more than 60 countries throughout Europe, Asia, Latin America and the Middle East. Juicy Couture has had a presence in China since 2006. By yearend, the company will have 38 stores in Mainland China as well as 22 in other parts of Asia.
