Lane Crawford has just launched its e-commerce business for Greater China on lanecrawford.com.

The Hong Kong-based luxury retailer said the site features an edit of women’s ready-to-wear, shoes and accessories. Men’s wear, cosmetics, home items and lifestyle products will be added over time.

Lane Crawford said it offers same-day delivery in Hong Kong and Beijing and next-day delivery in primary cities. The site also features editorial content in English and Mandarin as well as customer service in both languages.

“We have great ambitions for e-commerce and have a long journey ahead of us, but we have an expert team and a very detailed road map of innovation and development around product offer, site features and customer experience, which is very exciting,” said Andrew Keith, president of Lane Crawford.

The retailer is increasing its retail space in Hong Kong by expanding its Canton Road and Times Square stores. It said it will open a 150,000-square-foot flagship in Shanghai in the first half of 2013 as well as new stores in Beijing and Chengdu over the next two years.
