L’Autre Chose just christened its first flagship in Rome in Piazza Campo Marzio, near the Pantheon.
An extension of the brand’s romantic style, the 700-square-foot space carries the brand’s clothing and accessories and is decked out with antique white French furniture, floral printed wallpaper, white stucco flourishes and tobacco-hued carpeted floors. Shoes and bags are displayed in nooks nestled into the store’s walls, while ready-to-wear is arranged in wardrobes. The boutique will also preview the label’s new costume jewelry line, fabricated with leather, oversized crystals and wooden trinkets. Two more L’Autre Chose stores are on tap for 2009, including one in the resort town of Milano Marittima on the Adriatic coast.
