HONG KONG — Outsourcing giant Li & Fung confirmed Wednesday that several of its suppliers have halted production in Vietnam in the wake of widespread anti-Chinese unrest that has led mobs to ransack and set fire to factories.
Li & Fung, which sources goods for Wal-Mart Stores, Kohl’s, American Eagle Outfitters Inc. and others, said the production halts were a “precautionary” measure. No further information was available. Vietnam is the second largest sourcing country for Li & Fung, behind China, producing mainly softgoods.

"It's really hard sometimes. I think I have a reputation for being really tough and aggressive and pushy but I really am a very shy person who wants to be liked, and that's the conflict constantly. There's something that takes hold - I want people to like me, I don't want to be mean - but if I see something that just cries out to be answered, I go for it," says renowned NBC News correspondent Andrea Mitchell.
