NEW YORK — With the sixth anniversary of her company only a few months away, Lisa Perry is extending her reach with an e-commerce component to her Web site.

The designer’s vibrant colored dresses and limited-edition artist-inspired pieces, as well as her children’s apparel, accessories and home collections, are now being sold on her Web site. Shoppers have been asking for as much for a while, according to Perry, who can often be found in her Madison Avenue store, where the company’s offices and design studio are also located.

“We get asked daily, ‘When are you going to open a store in Dallas or in Atlanta?’ or ‘Where can I buy your clothes?’” Perry said Thursday.

Barneys New York — which her husband, Richard Perry, bought this past spring — already carries her collection in its New York and Los Angeles stores and plans to offer it in other locations, she said.

In addition to checking out the various clothing categories, online customers have the option of shopping by shape or color.

Known for her Pop Art and modern designs, Perry has created limited-edition collections using art from Jeff Koons, Andy Warhol and Roy Lichtenstein. She is now working on a new one, but declined to reveal the artist. Shoppers will soon gain greater insight about what inspires the designer through the interactive blog that will debut in a month or two on the revamped site. Her upcoming collection may have traces of Ellsworth Kelly, whose paintings and prints she saw at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art last spring.

A newly minted Council of Fashion Designers of America member, Perry said she is “seriously considering” having her first presentation in September during New York Fashion Week. In the meantime, she is content with the Jean Shrimpton-looking model on her site. “With the opening images, the site just comes alive,” she said. “It just screams happy and Lisa Perry.”
