The French doyenne of white shirts, Anne Fontaine, has for the first time created a massage in sync with a particular fashion collection. For her current fall-winter line, which was inspired by jazz, Fontaine’s spa in her Parisian Rue Saint-Honoré shop offers a 50-minute Black Pearl massage for about $215. Using Fontaine’s signature organic body oil, the masseur’s movements were designed to echo a musician’s in order to relax muscles, explains Caroline Janin, the spa’s director. “It’s really meant to create a universe of jazz,” she says. Fontaine, who evidently is a big jazz fan herself, cherry-picked the tunes on the soundtrack accompanying the massage, which includes songs by the likes of Jimmy McGriff, Stacey Kent and Katie Melua.
