Nasty Gal, the multicategory e-tailer, is beefing up its management team.
Robert Ross has joined the Los Angeles firm as chief financial officer, reporting to Deborah Benton, president and chief operating officer.
Most recently, Ross was cfo and acting coo at Ideeli, the flash-sale Web site. Before that, he spent 13 years at Urban Outfitters in various financial and operational positions such as chief accounting officer; executive vice president, finance; worldwide controller; treasurer, and cfo.
Another new hire is Lina Kutsovskaya, who will join Nasty Gal in January as senior vice president, creative. She reports to Sophia Amoruso, chief executive officer and creative director.
Most recently, Kutsovskaya was vice president, executive creative director at Sephora USA Inc. Before that she was a creative direction consultant with Style.com/Print. Earlier, she was vice president of advertising at Barneys New York and creative director of Teen Vogue.
Both positions are new and are based in Los Angeles.
Nasty Gal, which had sales close to $130 million last year, scored a $50 million investment from Index Ventures in 2012, which has helped fuel its expansion.
Geared to the twentysomething customer, Nasty Gal’s offerings run the gamut from sportswear, dresses, coats and jackets to lingerie, swimwear and footwear.
