CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. -- Gerald A. Sampson, president and chief operating officer of Neiman Marcus Stores, has been named a corporate officer of the Neiman Marcus Group.
Sampson, based in Dallas, will continue in his present role.
He joined Neiman Marcus in April 1993 in his current post, overseeing finance, operations, distribution, store development and information services. Previously, he was with May Department Stores Co. for 18 years, most recently as chairman of its Robinsons-May Division.
NMG includes Neiman Marcus, Bergdorf Goodman and Contempo Casuals. Harcourt General Inc. owns about 65 percent of the fully diluted common equity in Neiman Marcus Group.
