The independent specialty store retailer, which operates three Manhattan units on the Upper East Side, has inked a deal to open a fourth unit around Labor Day.
The final name is still up in the air, but the 2,000-square-foot unit at 1179 Lexington Avenue, between 80th and 81st Street, will most likely be called Peter Elliot Boots, according to its owner Eliot Rabin.
The shop, which will offer an assortment of “eclectic Americana,” will focus primarily on boots, he said, as well as jeans and other complementary products. “People are dying for boots but there’s nothing like this in the area,” he said. Among the offerings will be high-end models from Back at the Ranch, a Sante Fe, N.M.-based bootmaker, he said.
The store will join the Peter Elliot men’s and women’s stores on Madison Avenue and 81st Street, and the Peter Elliot Blue unit on Lexington Avenue.
