NEW YORK — Madison Avenue’s ninth annual Pink Ribbon Project begins Saturday with more than 50 retailers taking part in the drive to raise money for breast cancer awareness and research.
The shopping event has several new components this year. For the first time, a Web site, momsshop.com, will offer Pink Ribbon items created by participating retailers. Consumers also can purchase products such as Lambertson Truex’s Paxton clutch for $1,295; Donna Karan Cashmere Mist Limited Edition Breast Cancer Awareness eau de toilette spray, $58 for 1.7 oz., and Judith Ripka’s sterling silver, 18-karat gold, diamond and pink crystal ring, $700 to $4,400, directly from the stores. Ten percent of the net proceeds of sales of Pink Ribbon items during the event, which runs through Oct. 18, will be contributed to the Pink Ribbon campaign.
Hermès is launching a Laundromat pop-up shop in NYC - dubbed Hermèsmatic - where customers can bring their old scarves to be dip-dyed by an expert. Get all the details on WWD.com. #wwdnews (📷: @donstahl)
