NEW YORK — Premium sportswear company Robert Graham has appointed Chuck Hellman as its first CEO. The newly created position is expected to help facilitate growth initiatives planned across multiple platforms for the five-year-old company.Hellman, who had been with Robert Stock Design, Stock’s former company, from 1993 to 2000, was most recently at Oxford Industries and Key Apparel.Robert Graham founder and designer Robert Stock called Hellman “a brilliant talent,” and said Hellman, “will be a tremendous asset to our growing company.”Such initiatives include growing core distribution— particularly in Asia, South America and the UK — and licensed categories where, according to Hellman, there is a strong demand for the brand. A plan for a flagship Robert Graham store is also in the works.
