PARIS — Rolex has named Daniel Gaujac head of branding, in charge of product creation, a new post charged with advertising, sponsoring and interior design for the Swiss watch brand. The appointment was effective in February.

The Frenchman was previously executive vice president of Dom Pérignon within LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton, during which time he helped add luster to the Champagne brand through several high-profile advertising campaigns shot by Karl Lagerfeld.
