NEW YORK -- Sal Ruggiero has rejoined Saks Fifth Avenue as group manager for designer ready-to-wear on the third floor of the flagship here.
Ruggiero had the same position at Saks about a year ago, but took "a kind of a hiatus," he said Monday, his first day back on the job. During the break, he said, he did some consulting and volunteer work.
At Saks, he said, he will be working with merchants in the selection and merchandising of designer collections and developing the customer base. He reports to Larry Hill, general manager of the flagship.
At various times during his career, Ruggiero was vice president and fashion director at Marshall Field's, vice president of image and marketing at Tommy Hilfiger, and a merchandise director at CIT International, an Italian manufacturer.
