Sears Canada is upping the fashion quotient on its private label collections.
The retailer said Thursday that it inked an apparel deal with Buffalo International and a footwear deal with The Aldo Group.
Buffalo will design and manufacture the entire line of the denim-centric Nevada brand, which encompasses men’s and women’s casual apparel. The collection will be available in Sears for fall, and will target the 25 to 45-year age range.
The department store also signed on Aldo to design and produce its women’s shoe brand Jessica, as well as its men’s and women’s Nevada and Altitude shoe collections. The “revitalized” shoe offerings will be available in Sears stores and on its Web site for the fall season.
“We are continuing to implement our strategy of working with successful designers and organizations that can provide immediate credibility and continuity to our brands and services," said Sears Canada president and chief executive officer Calvin McDonald.
