NEW YORK — Sephora has signed a lease to open a 4,500-square-foot store at 21-27 Ninth Avenue here.
Sephora’s Meatpacking District store will represent a new design concept for the beauty retailer, which is owned by LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton. According to sources, the unit will convey a high-end boutique environment. “It will be a special version of Sephora tailored to the shoppers in the neighborhood,” said one industry observer. “[Sephora] plans on operating later into the evening to capitalize on the immense amount of late-night shoppers in this area.”

"It's really hard sometimes. I think I have a reputation for being really tough and aggressive and pushy but I really am a very shy person who wants to be liked, and that's the conflict constantly. There's something that takes hold - I want people to like me, I don't want to be mean - but if I see something that just cries out to be answered, I go for it," says renowned NBC News correspondent Andrea Mitchell.
