LONDON — Sue Devitt brought the promise of sunshine to the rain-drenched here this week. On Wednesday afternoon the makeup maven spent three hours at her recently revamped, exotic travel-inspired counter at Harvey Nichols overseeing makeovers and suggesting color options and products for clients.
“I come to meet with customers as the rest of the year they’re supporting my business,” she said between consultations. “They want to hear from the creator of the brand what products I would choose for them.” Devitt added such store visits offer her the opportunity to keep in touch with her clients’ concerns. “I hear exactly the same issues here as in Hollywood,” she said, adding women invariably want to know how to look younger, how to have fullers lips and how to create smoky eyes.
"I think that all anyone really wants in life is to have people understand us for who we actually are, despite everything," says Ruth Negga. The actress talks "Preachers" season 2 and more on WWD.com. #wwdeye (📷: Dan Doperalski)
"That's something that resonates with me too because I'm so locked into a number. If I go over that number it completely ruins my day so it's nice to get detached from the number on the scale." - Chelsea Handler on Kelly LeVeque's book "Body Love." #wwdeye (📷: John Salangsang)
