PARIS — Valentino Fashion Group opened its first-ever women’s-only MCS store (formerly Marlboro Classics) at 19 Rue Grégoire de Tours here this week at the corner of Boulevard Saint Germain and adjacent to the label’s men’s flagship.

The 1,160-square-foot store carries the revamped women’s ready-to-wear collection.

With aims to broaden its appeal and expand its offer, for spring, the company is steering its men’s and women’s collections away from the signature Western and outdoor bent toward a more urban style.

MCS will continue to extend the women’s range for spring with the first footwear and accessories line. A swimwear collection for men also will hit stores next year.

The new MCS banner is featured on all store facades and interiors in tandem with the Marlboro Classics name, which is applied to apparel labels.

MCS boasts around 2,400 points of sale worldwide.
