German e-tailer opens in U.S.

German online retailer Stylebop has expanded its service to the U.S. and opened an office in New York. Established in 2004, the $20 million Munich-based boutique carries lines from C&C California to Alberta Ferretti. The home page shows what celebrities are wearing, and shoppers can click through to buy the look. Product detail pages show a 3-D revolving view of each item. The company plans to soon add beauty and gifts.

GSI buys shipping service

E-commerce service provider GSI Commerce, whose clients include Ralph Lauren and Liz Claiborne, plans to acquire fulfillment and customer care company Innotrac for $22 million in cash and $30 million in stock. Innotrac has more than 30 customers, mostly retailers, and six fulfillment and customer service centers in the West, Midwest and South.
