Who needs the Kentucky Derby when you’ve got the annual Frederick Law Olmsted Awards, aka the “hat luncheon”?

Held at Central Park’s Conservatory Garden and sponsored by Tiffany & Co., the Frederick Law Olmsted Awards turned 30 this year. While Caroline Kennedy took the restrained route with a classic top hat, others went wild with ingenious numbers, from veiled Merry Widows to extravagant Gainsboroughs to garden varieties layered with feathers, flowers and swans, to name just a few.
