The spring social scene got off to a grand start with a recent string of black-tie events in New York, including the Frick Museum’s Young Fellows Bal de Chinoiserie, the Save Venice Un Ballo in Maschera and the Blossom Ball. As it turns out, the accessories were some of biggest attractions around, with everything from Judith Leiber jewel-encrusted pagoda-shaped bags to out-of-this-world masks to — why not? — a headpiece fashioned to resemble a bowl of noodles replete with chopsticks.
