SCENTS AND SENSIBILITY: Kristin Scott Thomas, who stars in the fake commercial for a new Comme des Garçons perfume, was among guests Friday night checking out the unusual scent and the Japanese brand’s new Trading Museum concept shop in Paris. “I love everything Katarina does,” she said, referring to photographer and artist Katarina Jebb, who made the short film. “It took us about half an hour, we had lots of fun. The ridicule of it was so tempting.” In it, she twirls on a Paris bridge at sunset.

 

Arielle Dombasle and Cate Blanchett also appear in pastiches of fragrance advertising screened by a fictional channel dubbed LucidTV.

Scott Thomas has just finished filming François Ozon’s latest film, out next summer and rumored to be called “Dans la Maison.” “It’s a comedy about a teacher who gets involved with his pupil,” she revealed. “I play his wife.” Film projects with Pascal Bonitzer and Nicolas Winding Refn are also in the offing.
A limited number of units of the 100ml brown sticky tape-scented fragrance were available for sale at the party, priced at 95 euros, or $129 at current exchange, with a rollout to the rest of the brand’s fashion distribution planned for November.
