Warner Brothers must not be too worried about turning a profit on “Sex and the City 2” which opens today. Over the last week, scores of the famous and not-so-famous have sat for free viewings of the film in Los Angeles, Atlanta and New York City. On Tuesday, Moet and Chandon hosted a screening at the Crosby Street Hotel attended by guests including Katie Lee Joel and Nina Freudenberger, while uptown, HP invited its own list of swells to a screening at the Paris Theatre followed by a party at Bergdorf Goodman. A separate group then headed to the Swarovski and Cinema Society dinner at Monkey Bar. Combined with the movie’s two-and-a-half hour running time, it made for a long night. But Courtney Love, Rachel Dratch, Jenna Lyons, Frederique van der Wal, Tommy Hilfiger and Carol Alt stuck it out. And now they have one less thing on their to-do list this holiday weekend.
