LOVERS IN JAPAN
In the spirit of Valentine’s Day, Le Terme di Kyoto, on the top floor of the four-star Enterprise Hotel, will offer romantic treats for guests. On Thursday, the spa will add “The Sensual Breakfast” and “The Sensual Lunch” packages for couples. Anyone who can’t make it for Valentine’s Day needn’t worry, though — the two items will remain available after Feb. 14, completing the offer of the Japanese-style spa.
The breakfast package provides a wide selection of sweet and salty delicacies accompanied by hot or cold drinks that can be savored while relaxing in the Jacuzzi, with a panoramic view of Milan.
The lunch package allows couples the exclusive use of the entire spa for three hours, and a selection of finger foods and Japanese cuisine.
This luxury spa’s architectural concept and view, with its ethnic-chic style, is a clear homage to the Land of the Rising Sun, with a red, black and green decor combined with mosaics.

A SWEET FAIRY TALE
The new Vanilla Bakery located a few steps from Piazza Wagner looks like a dollhouse. The white wooden floors, chairs, sofas and tables, which appear as if they are made from clear sugar, match the cotton-candy-pink walls, all decorated with glossy chocolate details.
The main idea behind this delicious project is to introduce the English-American dessert tradition to the Italian public. Cupcakes are the stars of the bakery, available in regular and miniature sizes, in all colors and flavors — from classic red velvet to deep chocolate. They’re showcased like jewelry in a large glass display cabinet at the entrance.
An array of cakes ranges from the original New York cheesecake to carrot cake. In addition, on Mondays the bakery holds a course on cake decoration for children and adults.
For those lacking a sweet tooth, Vanilla Bakery also offers American club sandwiches, pastrami wraps and veggie salads. A weekend brunch and Italian aperitifs round out the menu.

Italian women’s wear brand Giada is opening a pop-up store on the tony Via Montenapoleone during fashion week. China Redstone Group took control of the label, created and designed by Rosanna Daolio, in 2005. A permanent boutique, designed by archi-star Claudio Silvestrin, is expected to be inaugurated in June in a location still to be determined.
The brand, which gives a nod to Audrey Hepburn-like style with exclusive and luxe fabrics, already counts more than 30 boutiques in China, and the Milanese opening is just the first of several units planned in Europe.
