On Tuesday night, Laura and Kate Mulleavy feted their collection at Lower East Side eatery White Slab Palace. While the evening’s mix of editors and company employees—not to mention a cash bar—didn’t exactly make for an over-the-top affair, the design duo didn’t seem to mind. “It’s so annoying not to have an after party,” said Laura Mulleavy. “There are so many people who worked so hard [on this collection], like all of our interns.”
Kirsten Dunst did her part to sing the brand’s praises. “It’s Rodarte,” the actress exclaimed when asked what she was wearing — despite the fact her T-shirt and skirt sure didn’t look like a Mulleavy design.
