Saks Fifth Avenue is searching for the country’s best dads. To commemorate the 100th anniversary of Father’s Day this June, 24 of the retailer’s stores are conducting an Internet search for fathers who are making a positive impact through their style, generosity and dedication to their families and communities.
A special subsection of the store’s Webpage is being devoted to initiative and asks visitors for nominations. One winner will be chosen in each market and that dad will receive a complete wardrobe from the Saks Fifth Avenue Men’s Collection, recognition in the store windows and special ceremony and shopping event in the local store. Ten percent of the proceeds from the sale of SFA Men’s Collection merchandise that night will be donated to local charities that focus on children and families. The deadline for nominations is March 21. The program, which is the company’s largest men’s-focused charitable initiative ever, will employ Internet marketing and social media to promote the contest.
