BRAZILIAN HEAT: Scantily clad Brazilian Mardi Gras dancers filled the rooms of Café Carmen on Monday night to celebrate the launch of Mario Testino’s new book, “Mario de Janeiro Testino.” Lily Donaldson was dressed in what looked like a Hervé Léger bandage dress. “It’s actually from Topshop,” she cooed as sometime Topshop designer Kate Moss, accompanied by boyfriend Jamie Hince of The Kills, headed off to greet Janet Jackson.
Designer Ozwald Boateng said he would be the subject of a forthcoming film directed and produced by Varon Bonicos. “It’s called ‘A Man’s Story,’” he said, adding that clients Will Smith and Jamie Foxx could figure in the movie.

Claudia Schiffer, in town for Yves Saint Laurent and Chanel, said that since her days on the catwalk, fashion has improved. “Fashion has gone back to its origins — it’s now about the clothes and less about the girls,” she said. Other revelers enjoying the flare of the samba included singer Katy Perry, Yasmin Le Bon, Jade Jagger and Daphne Guinness.
