THREE CHEERS: Oscar de la Renta, Eliza Bolen and Lauren du Pont raised a glass to bride-to-be Alexandra Hamilton and her beau, Billy Kimball, at an engagement party thrown by Paul Wilmont and Adam Lippes last Thursday. “Working at Oscar de la Renta, all you do is dream of being a bride,” sighed Hamilton, who will wear a gown designed by her boss for the wedding in May.

The next day in Palm Beach, 215 ladies gathered for a Valentino fashion show and luncheon at Mara-a-lago to benefit the Boys Club of New York. Donald Trump and Melania Knauss welcomed Julia Koch, Audrey Gruss, Pauline Pitt, Beth Rudin DeWoody, Tara Milne and Lourdes Fanjul, for what quickly became known as the “5 G5” lunch, in honor of the five ladies who arrived in the G5 jets.

Meanwhile, Dennis Basso was feted on Saturday night when a troupe of New Yorkers, including Nina Griscom, Kathy Hilton, Ivana Trump and Bettina Zilkha, celebrated his 50th birthday in Palm Beach. The party-hearty well-wishers went through five cases of Beluga caviar and 10 cases of Dom Perignon at Club Colette, where Basso hired four extra security guards to keep an eye on his guests and their jewels. Patti Labelle crooned “Lady Marmalade,” and danced until after midnight, while Neil Sedaka penned an original song for the occasion called “I Love You, Dennis B.”
